Music theorist Irna Priore (1963–2014) made an enduring impression on music scholarship with her work on Berio, Darmstadt, and post-1945 music composition and theory, as well as her analytical work on Brazilian popular music. We celebrated her work in a symposium and concert on Sunday, 23 November 2014, at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Prof. Christoph Neidhöfer of McGill University delivered the keynote presentation on the significance of Priore's work as a Berio scholar, and read her as-of-yet-unpublished paper "Berio's Constellations and Diverse Serial Practices of the Post-War Period."
